The RealWear HMT-1 was built rugged to meet IP66 standards, 2 meter drop test, and MIL-STD-810-G. In addition to those standards, HMT-1Z1 is the only wearable approved for ATEX & IECEx Zone 1 and CSA C1-D1.

You can capture images and video, review documents, playback video, and use the flashlight. Those functions help users share knowledge, capture processes, perform inspections, document issues, reduce paper, and train faster.
Remote Mentor with RealWear HMT-1TM enables workers in the field to get assistance from experienced technicians (“mentors”) via an enhanced two-way video call experience where the mentor can see and hear from the worker’s point of view. The HMT-1TM platform enables mentors located anywhere in the world to see what the worker sees and coach them in real-time.
Document Navigator on the RealWear HMT-1 enables workers in the field to view technical guides, manuals and other critical documents in PDF or image file formats. Hands-free access to information at the right place and right time boosts operational efficiency, leading to fewer incidents of rework, better throughput, and happier customers.
Digital Workflow solutions with RealWear HMT-1TM enable workers to reference visual instructions, complete checklists, enter data, and capture images while on the go. Hardware like the HMT-1TM enables digital workflow to reach workers when and where they need it—improving productivity and reducing operational errors.

RealWear has more than 40 ISV in its growing partner ecosystem. Key software partners include Cisco, Honeywell, PTC, HPE, Thales, Dassault Systemes, OSIsoft, Iconics, Plex, Ubimax, Upskill, Librestream, Apprentice and many more.
RealWear HMT-1 is actually the 7 generation of a product that has been in development for 10 years. Unlike other wearable devices that were built with technology in mind and then pushed toward industry, HMT-1 was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of its customers.
It is warrantied for up to 2 years depending on the channel of sale. In regular use however it could be expected to last for 3 years if not abused. We will guarantee to provide repair service for 2 years after the last one is sold.
The battery specification is 300 charge cycles to 75% of original capacity. Most users are not going to fully discharge the battery in a days use, so they won’t be using a full cycle. The battery has a 1 year warranty and on the HMT-1 is removable/replaceable. Additional batteries and 6-way multi-battery chargers may be purchased from RealWear.
Support will be guaranteed until 2 years after date of last sale of HMT-1 – i.e. until approx. April 2022, however there will continue to be RealWear products that support the same software and use case.
HMT-1 will have periodic software updates throughout its lifecycle. Customers can elect to buy newer products as and when these are available at their option. Our goal is to ensure backwards compatibility with HMT-1 software applications. RealWear is not disclosing any details about future products at this time.
HMT-1 meets RoHS recyclability requirements.
It can be recycled at any location that accepts lithium ion batteries – such as locations that accept laptop or smartphone batteries. Li-Ion batteries should not be incinerated or placed in landfill.
